About the Author

Hi! I'm Lacey Lehotzky, AKA Evil One as dubbed by my readers, for breaking them with my emotional, angst-filled stories. I started writing because I didn't see enough trauma and mental health representation in fantasy, where, generally, a bunch of traumatic sh*t happens. So I set out to write my bestselling series, A Choice of Light and Dark. I love exploring the darker side of life, diving into the shadows and not balking at what I find there. That's why all my characters have deep flaws and issues of their own to overcome before they can get their HEA.
When I'm not writing, you can find me jetting off to distant lands to find inspiration or at the gym training to be a badass fighter like my main characters.

    This book was everything I wanted & more. As a reader, I love feeling every emotion, even feeling conflicted about character choices because it forces you to think outside of yourself. The author did an amazing job at portraying hard choices and the consequences of maling the right or wrong ones. I was so proud of the healing steps the FMC took. I like reading a book that shows how healing is long-term.
    I still don't trust anything when it comes to Lacey's writing, and i am DESPERATE for book 4.

    I enjoyed EVERY SINGLE moment in these pages. The character growth with our MCs was so phenomenal. It’s so angsty. The hate spice is on 🔥. The back and forth banter was just so delicious. This book was dark and gritty and interesting and kept me captivated and hanging on, whispering “just one more chapter”. That ENDING. So good. I can’t WAIT for book two!!

    Book 1 had me HOOKED!!! The opening of book 2 gave me CHILLS like no book ever has!! But book 3 has my heart!! I was over the moon when this book got unexpectedly released, and it did NOT disappoint!! The character development, the way the story hooks you, the beautiful details regarding an other world…I’m already going back to re-read the series, so I can pick up everything Lacey laid out for us in book 1 and 2 that I can now appreciate to the full extent. This book is for every woman!!!
